Jaime Moriguchi, MD

Jaime D. Moriguchi, MD is Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and in heart failure and transplant cardiology. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Moriguchi was Co-Director of the Clinical Heart Failure Program and Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. After earning his bachelor’s degree at Stanford University, Dr. Moriguchi went on to earn his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his internship and residency, serving as chief resident, and performed a cardiology fellowship also at UCLA. Dr. Moriguchi has published more than 93 articles on a wide variety of subjects related to cardiac disease, cardiac transplantation, and heart failure. These articles have been published in the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation as well as other peer-reviewed publications. He has co-authored six book chapters on heart transplantation, has authored over 161 research abstracts and lectures regularly on mechanical circulatory support.
