Antoine Hage, MD is Director of Solid Organ Transplant Cardiology and Co-Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He also is a clinical professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)and Professor of Medicine at Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai. He is board certified in internal medicine and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.Dr. Hage’s research focus and interest has been on all aspects of pulmonary hypertension as well as cardiac and liver transplantation, cardiomyopathy and heart failure, exercise training in heart failure, diabetes and cardiovascular disease and cardiac complications of cancer therapy(cardio-oncology). He has published more than 25 articles in peer reviewed publications, has written 70 abstracts and has co-authored two book chapters related to heart transplantation and the experience at UCLA, and book chapters on pulmonary hypertension and hypertensive heart disease in cancer patients. After earning his medical degree at Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels, Belgium,where he graduated magna cum laude, Dr. Hage stayed on to perform his internal medicine residency followed by a cardiology fellowship for cardiology certification (summa cum laude). He came to the United States and performed an internal medicine residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he was chief resident, and cardiology fellowship at UCLA, where he stayed afterwards, became a professor,then joined Cedars Sinai’ s staff.
