Robert Cole, MD
Robert Cole, MD is Associate Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) research and education in the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is board certified in advanced heart failure/transplant/MCS cardiology, general cardiology, internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, with specialized training in right heart catheterization and endomyo cardial biopsy as well as diagnostic coronary angiography. He is a graduate of Brown University for undergraduate study and completed a master’s degree as well as his medical degree atBoston University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete Internal Medicine residency at UCLA, followed by general cardiology and heart failure cardiology fellowships at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Cole is actively involved in heart failure and mechanical circulatory support research, with multiple publications in journals such as The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and ASAIO, as well as multiple book chapters including the use and management of the Total Artificial Heart. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and remains a member of numerous professional cardiology societies. Throughout his career, he has received numerous teaching awards and honors for his clinical care.
